War CampTents were scattered all about the tree line. Their thick, heavy canvas held pockets of rain water, suspending them from making the full descent to earth. It didn’t make much difference anyway. The camp was filled with a thick, autumn fog that seemed to clog the lungs and machinery of the small groups of people milling about. Some were flipping long lines ending in hooks into the calm river, sprinkled and rippling with the light rain fall. Others were moving crates of expired food and wet ammunition from a truck, still steaming softly from its recent drive. In the back of the camp, a man stood alone, momentarily setting his hoe to the siWar Camp
